Finding time for yourself can be tricking as a Mum, finding time for yourself as a working Mum, you might as well start searching for your fairy god mother. Seems impossible right? Well the good news is it’s not!
There are a few ways that us Mums can make a little ‘me’ time.
Daycare Programs: As a Military (Navy) wife, we have an extra helping hand. The military has programs that allow you to drop your child off for a couple hours so that you can go and run errors or get a pedicure, have lunch, enjoy silence. & it’s $7. For non military daycares, check out what your community has to offer. You’d be surprised.
Call a friend or family member. Ask if they would mind for an hour, 30 mins, a day what ever you can get. Grandparents love spending time and bonding with there grandchildren. Mark it on the calendar and look forward to it, don’t feel guilty about it. You deserve a little time to yourself too!
Book an Appointment. Mark on the family calendar an evening a week (or two). Do no disturb Mum. I think it’s very important that Mum’s take at least an hour a week to themselves. No kids. No husband. No work. No dog. Leave your phone at home if you need to.
Join a class. Yoga is an excellent stress release as well as a great way to get in touch with you. Pamper your soul a little.
Remember to take time for yourself. You are just as important as everyone else in your family. I always hear that I never have enough time for this or that. There just aren’t enough hours in the day. That’s because we fill our days to the max. Leave time in the day to have some down time. Priorities. I don’t want my daughter to remember me as always stressed out and never had time for her.

You have to make yourself important enough to make time for yourself. I always hear that I never have time, there isn’t enough time in a day for this and that. Make time. Stop filling every minute of every day. Slow down.

I love to sit with a book and sip on coffee or yoga class always does me good!
